Need Advice on Which P&C Companies to Sign with

It will be difficult to get an appointment with standard carriers but the non standard will not be a problem. MGA's such as Appalachian underwriters (appund.com) has companies such as Met Life, Safeco, and Travelers. You may have to locate one in your state, I forgot to check to see where you are located. I am in this process right now and it is very frustrating because since the carrier will not deal with a new person you have to build a book up through someone and make low commissions until you get the book built up then contact the company and move when you have around $250k with the company. That is the requirements in my area I have heard in some areas the companies only require $50K. I would look in the phone book to see what companies the other auto agencies are offering and more than likely they are the more competitive company if you notice they all are advertising them.

Thanks, i did find a great company called "Superior Access" They carry all lines and it was very easy to get set up and was quoting in less than an HR!

Thanks! Do you know where I can get cheap E&O for P&C? I have been licensed for 3 years, but have not worked in P&C for the last two.

When I quoted around this year Westrop (not sure of spelling) was the best premium for me, still not cheap but better than the 13 others that quoted me.
