Need CRM Help and Advice

Since you're such a nice guy and you spent some time giving me some feedback about some of my projects I could setup an installation of sugarCRM and vTiger for you to play with and see if you like them. Both can be configured to send out emails, but you'd probably like SugarCRM more. Just shoot me an email to get that setup if you'd like.

I think Josh smells some "new business" on the horizon. :D

Something like that. Josh is offering to help Jack about because he thinks Jack is a cool guy, but he doesn't want to get roped into doing it for everyone.

In the interest of full and open disclosure, by next week I should have a "complete wordpress website" package available, including a CRM, but that's not what this is about.

Ok, but I don't like or do or understand webinars.
What about this thing called Salesforce? What's that?

It would just be a screenshare with you and I, but no loss on my part.

SalesForce is a different web based platform that basically does the same thing with less features, more support, and more cost.

I think another one is zoho? I like vTiger because it does the job well and costs almost nothing to operate, same thing with SugarCRM.

It is interesting how so many here are getting into the "we'll do a site" for you biz.

I've been doing it for years on an informal basis... mostly books authors, (I have contacts in that market because of my publishing company and my publisher software service) and small publishers, and local businesses.

John P. is doing it. Josh is doing it... and I assume several others.

My wife came from the Levi Strauss family. You could either mine for gold... or sell pants to the guys mining for gold. Not everyone found gold, but everyone wore pants!

I'm sure there is enough biz out there for everyone.

It's something I've been getting asked about, so I figured I'd put together something more formal.

I think that's not quite an accurate comparison. I can't speak for John, but in keeping with your analogy I'm not selling pants, I'm doing a just fine digging for and finding gold, but I can help other folks dig for it without having them compete in my mines. Again, I don't know what success John has had in creating websites the actually generate revenue for agents and rank well for any competitive terms, but that's my basis for doing it.

Based on some private messages John has sent me it sure seems that way. I think what I'll be offering will be extremely competitive against the current offer John has out. The idea behind my model is going to be offering a "truly complete wordpress website" or something like that. Still working on the phrasing, but rather than having an agent hunt down a domain, hosting, and then picking a theme, this will be a one stop shop. One flat rate gets everything up and running without having to contact another company.
