Netquote's New Credit Policy...you Won"t Believe It...

Hey guys can I come to the well and soak up some advice. I have only sold online as a "part" of my business, just an old walk & talk guy. I am now set up with some carriers to sell online and want to start dedicating some time to this. Can I get some advice, leads (use telemarket and internet right now), phone, schedule, live transfers, etc. Any input is appreciated.

The other thing of concern...click on this link: (Mypoints)

Cookies are Required

Essentially, a website where you build up points to win prizes (I assume that's what it is). Click on "Personal Finance" and you'll see that you earn 5 points offered by Netquote. In fact, you see them all over this website. Is this what they call "incentivized marketing"???
That's one of our worst problems with NetQuote. It is truly coincidental that, when I receive a MyPoints email to get free insurance quotes for points, at work we receive more bogus leads with both invalid email addresses and phone numbers. AND, although their automated system dials the phone number to very that it is real, it doesn't verify if the phone # matches up with the name on the quote request, so you dial a lot of wrong numbers. And, if the phone numbers are disconnected, we still get the lead sent to us.

"I received X amount and X number are bad per your guidelines. Since you are refusing to honor your guidelines "X" dollars is available on my card. You can draft that amount or we can head to court. Your choice."

You had to agree to arbitration I am sure - so yeah little joe blow agent threatening to sue for hundreds of dollars I am sure they could care less.

I will preface this by saying so far net quote has been very productive for me. That being said I called someone today and they said they filled out a quote for favor points on facebook or maybe it was myspace. This pisses me off.
I was told these leads are not incentivized.

Sorry for the delay. I've been busy as !#@$ today. It's been as high as 5000 points. That's so high that they only allowed their members to fill it out 1 time. Then they went to 1000 points, then at some time it went to 5. Then their is the publishers clearing house fiasco. I'll go dig up some of their marketing pieces and post them. Do you have any more like this?

Also, have you asked them about recycled or aged leads?

I googled Netquote yesterday myself and found multiple sites, of this nature affiliated with netquote. I spent about an hour, and drilled down through 20 plus pages.

I guess I know now where the 60% of the leads that don't answer the phone come from.

I wonder how many points you need to get free caller ID.

I'm thinking of changing my caller ID to read, "Your A Winner" or "Congratulations Coupon Winner"

My ROI is about to go through the roof. If you can't beat'em, join'em.

Received lead from NQ this morning. The first one since I spoke to them.

44 male 5-8 155 "consumer has reported no pre-existing conditions."

Called him. Three back surgeries in last year. Open claim with Workman's Comp. Netquote will not issue credit. They said:

Hi Ed, NetQuote does not credit when a consumer lies about their health on an application. The things that we do credit for are as follows:
-Duplicate lead for the same consumer within the same lead type (within30 days)
-Fictitious name, fake phone, AND email address

At least they said, "Hi Ed".... they were nice to you as they put the screws to you.
