Nevada Non Standard Auto Carriers

Our company recently acquired another firm, one of it's offices was a nonstandard auto location. I have been tasked with improving retention and new sales at this location. I don't have ton of experience in the non standard auto market and I am wondering if anybody on this forum may know a bit more. Specifically, who are the players in Southern Nevada right now for non standard? I am told American Access isn't writing here at the moment, Key I know is competitive but holds their appointments as if they are bars of gold and Claro is supposedly competitive also. If anybody here has insight or comments I'd love to hear.

I write non standard auto in FL. It's really competitive because you're getting clients that want the cheapest price / bad driving record / don't pay their pays and much more. Also, it's a lot of work as well. You need to create a system that is going to make your process smooth. I know others on here in this forums do nothing but 100/300 I just can't find those customer lol.

Anyways, I'm good at what I do. :)

If you are dealing with people with bad driving records, dui, etc., then you are going to have low retention. Maybe you can get it up, but those people are always going to be hard to retain, and you are going to have lots of late payments, problems, etc. Its a gross generalization, but also generally correct.

Definitely true thus far! Way more than I had bargained for. No idea why anyone would want to focus on this segment exclusively. No way to make a living without massive amounts of new business coming in.

Yeah, you can make good money on these, by tacking on fat broker fees, but that's not how most of us do things.

There is money to be made but you just have to

You just got to know how to do it and have a good system.
