New Agent Goals

I'm a new agent starting out in the state of Ohio. I have no book and will be starting out with an independent agent. What is considered a reasonable monthly goal for a new agent bringing in all new business? I will be just doing personal and eventually learning the commercial side. What is the typical pay structure? I understand it is usually base + bonus. What is the usual base range?
