Happy Tuesday everyone, hope you're doing well. I'm a 8 year independent agent looking to spend less time on the tennis forums and more time on one that could expand my knowledge and maybe my pocketbook. Any tips for me I'm all ears, otherwise I'll be around trying to add to the site.

Hi Alex,
I love your attitude! I'd love to hear any tips you might have? I'm coming up on 10 years myself. What type of insurance do you sell? I'm a life and health agent, Medicare is my "niche". I might have a few tips and I'm always open to brainstorming with positive people. I'm in Idaho, most of my book is in California. Being that we're on opposite sides of the country we might have some fresh ideas for each other.

So I've been doing home/auto/flood/umbrella for the last 8 years. I just took the two week in person Hartford CLCS to jumpstart my foray into commercial. My business partner has been doing commercial lines for 30 years and wants to retire in the next 5, so that's likely where I'll be from here on. Health is the one area we don't touch, and life is the area we want to improve most, so not sure I have too many tips in those areas. We probably write less than 10 life policies a year between 8 people lol.

Thanks Alex! Cali is beautiful for sure, Florida is pretty amazing itself. I actually like the humidity, I think Hawaii is probably my favorite climate.

That's awesome your getting into commercial. I've heard there's a lot more money in it. Is there a specific reason you don't do health? I don't do too much Life either, I mainly focus on Medicare and IFP. I'd like to grow into group health.

I really like Medicare, it's been good to me. I find it pretty interesting and the renewals are nice.
