Puts you in tough spot when it comes to underwriting These are the questions on Manhattan's app...

1 CP4000: To the best of your knowledge and belief, in the past 10 years has any person to be covered under the terms of this policy now have or ever had cancer in any form including carcinoma in situ? If YES, then list the name(s) of the person(s) to be excluded from coverage

3. To the best of your knowledge and belief, has any person to be insured ever had a history of Melanoma, Hodgkin's Disease or Leukemia?
If YES, then list the name(s) of the person(s) to be excluded from coverage

4. To the best of your knowledge and belief, within the last 12 months, has any person to be insured had any elevated or rising PSA or CEA tests; abnormal mammogram, pap smear radiological exam, biopsy or scope procedure; or, received treatment, including those during
course of routine checkups, where the results were other than normal or still pending?

If YES, then list the name(s) of the person(s) to be excluded from coverage
I guess he might honestly answer question 4 no but something has him expecting a malignant diagnosis.

Manhattan does have only a 30 day waiting period before a new diagnosis

Is this son a minor? Why would he want coverage only on his son and not himself and other family members?

(Question 2 is missing as it applied to another plan and not the CP4000)

Yeah, I don't know anything, yet. I assume I will when I call her. I am not lying for her.

No he is an adult. I have a couple life policies on him. Mom is strickly GI on life insurance now. Blood and Liver issues.

As to the cancer coverage, the application will be tricky, but the claim might be a total wreck when it comes in as fast as it looks like it might. When they start digging around they generally leave few stones unturned.

I have a cancer claim in process with UNL, just beginning on a client of less than 1 year coverage. We'll see.

OK what I know =

Male age 39
North Carolina
He has not been to a doctor yet. Told his mother that he has discomfort in his testicles. Said per his online research he does not believe he has cancer but she wants a policy on him anyway. She is the owner payor on his life plans and will be on a Cancer policy if she finds one. I am fairly confident that she will keep it in force.

Does anyone want this?
