New Era

On the subject of new era, do you guys know of any smaller med supp carriers with a good policy price in the 67 - 72 age range?

Thanks to your discussion here I found a new great one in that age range while searching for info on New Era. It's Government Personnel Mutual Life. Their pricing on females is some of the best out there starting at age 67. Their first premium increase doesn't hit until age 68. For a 67 year old female it's a great price. It'll be one of my fav 67 year old policies.

I was told it is underwritten by MOO

MOO admin's dozens of carriers. Welcome to the list.

MOO will underwrite woodmen? What a bunch of whores, they'll underwrite anybody!

I just looked at their underwriting guidelines. I was hoping for a break from MOO's tough underwriting but New Era is equally as tough in most areas, in fact they look back 5 years on several conditions that MOO only looks back two years on ( Louisiana ). It's hard to find someone of considerable age that isn't being treated for one of those conditions. Doctors need patients; they're going to diagnose/treat them for something and once they do-underwriting becomes a problem; Boy, I miss State Mutual. It was so easy to get a policy issued.

Hey

How about family life? In Mi their hard to beat on the female side. The MGA here is offering as good or better price than MOO and a 30 % commission? That's what I'm talkin about! Not sure who admin's them, think they're part of Manhattan. Looks like women are going to be my fav clients!!!

This is true, We write for them and they do go back 5 years instead of 2 like MOO.
