New FE agent/Direct Mail

I am exclusively asking you about :

Being committed to your weekly lead program vs an agent doing his own mailing on a per thousand basis.

Please explain.

Credit card on hold you bill each week ?
We send him an invoice through PayPal. He has to proactively pay the bill.

How many leads do your guys commit to each week ?
Most take 20 to 25. A few take 30 and a few take 15.

Are you not going to charge the agents credit card like clockwork ?
No they have to proactively pay the bill. Occasionally I have to turn into a collection agency. And they only pay for what they get each week. I have to pay for all that come in which is a WAY different number.

Or can the agent simply buy leads from you at his own leisure ?
If I have excess leads many agents call me to buy leads whenever they want from my overstocks. Some like to travel around. But if they want their own counties that they work over and over they have to be consistent.

What if the agent likes to take time off spontaneously with no notice ?

Depends how much time off and how often. We do a lot of special things for our agents that we don't advertise because we have to have a relationship that works for both us and the agent or it doesn't work for anyone.

Sounds like a great system that creates a ton of agency production.

So to answer the OP's question,I think it comes down to wanting some hand holding,a desire to be part of a big organization and the things that go along with it vs. being completely on your own.

Do what fits you, can'r go wrong either way because it beats being captive or being an LH agent.
