New, Need a Contact for Med Sup

For what it's worth, Frank is always on here helping out folks that he will NEVER make a penny on!
Experience like his is worth a million bucks.

OOOPPPSSS, IRS Calling on the other line looking for their cut! Don't answer the phone Frank!

I got five calls today from an 877 number that I didn't answer. (I never answer those calls.) I was wondering who that was, thanks for the heads up.

If they ask about you what should I tell them?

None taken.

However, I am a national FMO, offer excellent contracts and give unconditional releases when requested. No matter who one deals with it is very doubtful that they are contracted directly with the insurance company.

Those who contract with me won't be dealing with a marketer that may not be there a year from now, all of the agent's dealings will be with me. The marketer they put agents with probably won't be a licensed agent who actually sells Med Supps and will know very little about how to sell them. It's all I sell.

Frank,

I am going to call you on this. Do you have a direct Mutual Contract ? if the answer is anything other than yes, you can not give a release only the direct contract can.

Sam

Spoke to Frank and yes, he is very, very helpful! Hope to get my first case open this week. We'll see. How lucrative is this market?

As far as the IRS Frank, when they call, tell them between the Nigerian Princess and the Kenyan President called Obama, I have no more money left. The Afrikaners have cleaned me out.

Anyone have some extra ketchup packets from the drive thru?
I feel like some tomato soup for breakfast.

I generally disagree with your statement. No offense, but Frank is on this forum helping agents without any need to contract. Is Lucas doing this?

I'd be inclined to work with those who help me, no questions asked. And that person is and has been Frank.

As far as a release, don't get me started on National Marketers. Aren't Bever, AGA and Parker national?

Rick

Personally not familiar with Bever, or AGA, and the only Parker I know is Ken Parker - Final Expense outfit.

I apologize if my statement came across offensively Rick, it was just my two cents as an agent. I too have benefitted from Frank's pearls of wisdom on this forum.

My point was again not an attempt to undercut Frank as a broker, contract provider and generally helpful agent, but simply a statement of my opinion that working with an NMO is generally a better idea. Just depends on which NMO you work with I guess. I know there are some I'd never work with.

My opinion is solely based on the number of people involved in the contract between the agent and the carrier. I had a situation occur once long ago where my contract was held by Joe Broker and he had a contract with John Broker who was then contracted through a large Texas Broker who was finally contracted through an NMO who held a direct contract with the carrier. Joe turned out to not be my cup of tea, and while I was able to get a release from Joe, getting a release from John was more difficult. John finally gave in, but then I had to negotiate a release from the large Texas Broker which never happened. Needless to say I quit writing that product.

If I can reduce that number between me and the carrier to 1, and I know that 1 to be a helpful, supportive & knowledgeable broker, then I am very happy.

My statements were also not meant to be a debate on Frank vs ____________.

I only felt it fair to give my two cents. But apparently when my two cents don't = Frank Stastny they are not welcome.

From now on I will advocate everyone to get their contracts through Frank. It seems this forum is certainly headed in that direction as a swarm of brokers vying for agents' contracts versus just a platform to share knowledge.

I remember when anyone who ever advertised themself as a place to get a contract here, they were immediately discounted as SPAM, and generally not welcomed. Obviously not the case anymore.

Good luck on your ventures gentleman. Now go write some business.

All great points Frank, especially the bolded one. I would easily say that you are one of the most helpful agents I've ever met (virtually). And when an agent needs that additional hand-holding, you would easily be a top choice. I guess my point was biased to myself since I don't need the additional hand-holding, so I choose to eliminate the number of contacts in the supply chain as much as possible.
