Yes you are absolutely correct. I did not mean to offend you. It was only a joke in reference to being piped aboard. Only commissioned officers O6 and above (and co's of a ship) and civilian dignitaries is worthy of being piped aboard.

It is going to take a lot more than that to offend the old fart.

I wasn't offended... I wasn't an NCO but the few years I spent in the service it was obvious even to those of us who were truly "lowly" who ran the show. Since I wasn't Navy, didn't know what the piping custom was.

Since the description is 100% accurate, I assumed you were referring to me.. Will be 68 in a couple of weeks..Licensed for 41 years.. There are a few that are older than I on the forum but not many. And, I certainly exercise my prerogative to be cantankerous...

Yes sir! I am still a little behind you. The next decade. My youngest brother likes to say that he was born in the 60s. By just a week, but I guess it counts.

However, I do know that I am older than the Biblical Adam as Adam was made form dirt and everybody tells me that I am "older than dirt"...Old folks have to take lots of naps.
