New to Work-comp

I took a break from insurance (have PC/Life/Health) and I'd like to get back to PC (was doing home/auto) and would like more info on work comp/business insurance and how to get started. Is there an agency in SoCal that I can work at and learn business - rating, classification, exp mod, - from soup to nuts, etc. How is the current CA market for work comp? are there any options of working at home? I was hoping to tie in the work comp/health insurance to biz owners - is this viable or wishful thinking at this market?

BTW, has anyone taken that $$$ WC course that gives you a designation as cert. wc advisor?

I am in Northern Cal.Can teach you as much as I know.You can also attend webinars with carriers I have appointed.Travelers, First Comp,State fund and soon Hartford.Travelers has one on 18th of March.
