I have a 42 year old male cigar smoker who has the occasional seizure due to a ghost tumor.

Yes, I am serious and wondering if anyone wants to write this guy -- $15 to $20 a month premium; Mom in TN would be paying.

Looks like maybe Settlers would work.

Why wouldn't you want to write him?

I find that $15 to $20 per month premiums are a waste of time. I either get them to bump to $25 or move on to the next one. They also seem to take up more time than the average deals in the long run. Yet you still should work them just as hard because they can hurt your persistancy numbers.

In the long run I think we do better by working better paying deals.

This is why I don't reccomend working 15 to $20 per month premiums.

About 3 weeks ago I got some DM leads and a couple didnt have the phone numbers on them. They were within 7 miles of my home so I did a drive by. One was in a trailor park known for drugs and it was a horbile mess. I went to the home and a 24 kid was there but his mom was working. He gave me the phone and after 4 or 5 attempts of calling her I spoke with her on Wed and we scheduled an appointment on Friday at 10am, and I neveer work on Fridays.

Fri morn I called a pressone lead from three weeks ago and finally caught the guy at home. He works a ton of hours and lived 35 miles away out in the boonies. He did tell me he was needing 2 policies but had already decide to gow ith a company call One American. AFter 5 minutes of talking he agreed to meet with me but had to be to work at 2 and his wife was not home. I told him I would call him after my 10am and if she was going to be home I wold come out and meet with them.

He called me at 11am and I was still at my 10am appointment. He said if i could get there within 15 to 20 minutes he woucl meet with me. I was about 40 miles away and still ahd to finsish up with my $30 policy. We had to re-schedule for next Friday morning.

The moral of the story is thihs.

Because I was dicking around on a $30 monthly premium on a policy that she probably can't even afford I didn't have time to meet with a husban and wife combo that they both agreed $80 per month/per person would be great.

What makes it even worsee is my 10 am appointment called me at 9:35 and wanted to cancel. But, instead of letting her cancel I convinced her I would make it fast and would be done in 30 minutes, so she agreed to still meet with me.

Working on small premiums "for the most" part is a big fat waste of time!

The problem was not the $30 premium. The problem was a prospect who thinks he is so important you should be able to drop everything and meet him within"15 - 20 minutes".. By your own standards, the $30 premium meet your criteria of $25+ to be worthwhile.

I learned a long time ago, write the customer in front of you right now. The next customer is not guaranteed.

Oh no I had no problem with meeting with the guy taht fast as he had to go to work at 2. I told him I would get over there asap and would have made it on time, if he could have verified his wife was going to be able to be there.

If I had known his wife was going to be there I would have blown off the $30 policy.

I also find the smaller dollar amount policies are the most likely to lapse as if money is that tight any small unexpected expense around the home will cause them to miss a payment.

Such as a

plumbing expense(stuck kotex)

license tabs due

car needed a battry

bond money

needed a bag of crack.

can of sisco

It jsut seems so many little quirky things can cause a $14 a month policy to go bad
