Ohio Carriers

I have a handful of prospects in the Columbus Ohio area and it looks like their current carrier is very strong. (Aetna)

You brokers that are writing business in this area is Aetna the most competitive in the 20-45 life range?

How competitive is Medical Mutual of Ohio or are there any other regional carriers that are fighting for business?

Aetna's rates are very competitive in Franklin County (Columbus area), and UHC and BC are right there as well (within 10%-15%). UHC and BC have a little better coverage on their best plans. With UHC's increase, they aren't as close to Aetna as they were last month.

The gap on the "Value" plans is closer.

Medical Mutual is stronger in the Northern part of the State. Not as strong in the Columbus area.
