It has taken way too long for this bit of legislation. The implications of this for Final expense, and some Medicare Benes will be great. I've had so many borderline clients in the past that were having policies bounced, by just a few dollars, largely because of OD fees.
I know that it's not a big win for everyone, but there are many people out there that are financially challenged. They literally pay hundreds of dollars in OD fees every month, while these greedy pigs are allowed to basically steal from their customers.
The new law goes into effect in October 2025. I wish they could make these slobs "back pay" all of these people.
