Anyone seen or more importantly, used them?

I have a new agent and thought about doing Every Door Direct with the USPS in our surrounding areas.

Cost:
Mailers, color, with BRM to come back to our local PO Box. 4 cents each.

Postage, currently 14 cents/ea going to 16.

So, I can mail a very direct piece, no misunderstanding that is is for FE, to everyone in my local Post Offices routes for 20 cents eash.

At the rate of doing FE lead mailers at $420/1k, I can mail twice as many and hit every door.

4000 pieces mailed, hope for 1/2 of a percent return or .005 with the information on the card they ought to be quality leads, close 30%, average $45/mo....

4000 x .005 = 20
20 x .3 = 6 sales
6 x $45/mo x 12mo x 110% = $3500 - $800 = $2,764 profit.

Expert opinions please.

Seems like it would be worth a try then. Ultimately you are hitting the same people the FE mailer would hit at the same cost, plus another 3000. You may even get a response or two out of the other 3000.

That is my thought process. Bottom line, one would think it impossible to not at a min. get your $800 back.
My optimistic thought are that there are kids of seniors that they know "mom and dad don't have insurance", those under the "mailing" radar for some reason and others that just don't like the vague mailers most FE leads are generated with.

Does the card only have your phone number on it for info? If so, wonder how many will actually pick up the phone and call you.

No, it also has a perfed return postcard they put information on. Oxford will let you use their BRM (business reply mail) account, you get a zip + 4 bar code, they do the custom printing and mail them in bulk to you for free. Your cost is .04 ea. Nice looking piece.

That is outstanding! Will look at contracting with them now.

Interesting... I've tinkered with the idea of EDDM, but the fact that I would rely on somebody picking up the phone and calling me is what turned me off. Oxford providing the BRM changes the game there.

Are there any production requirements from Oxford in exchange for them letting you use their BRM?

If there is, use someone else's. Many companies will let you use their's. I used to prefer my own because I did not want anyone else's name on my piece.
