We are an independent broker in CA, looking to expand our web presence and convert some website visitors into customers.

So far we have a google adwords campaign and some basic social media presence, any other solid online venues you can recommend that can bring us some potential business?

When it comes to getting online presence the more landing pages you put in place and utilize marketing to get people to the website, PURLs post cards are quite effective. These are personalized URL's which show up with the persons name set in effective places through out your Landing Page. Have a systemized marketing program in place and plan on spending about $500.00 to $700.00 per month. You can optimize your own website and don't need to spend any money doing this. Once your program is in place be relentless but most of all make yourself's the expert in where you live. You have someone to hang door hanger about $200.00 for 5000 you can direct people to your offer.

Not to be negative but I think you are pissing in the wind if you think you can compete with Geico, esurance, progressive, etc at their own game. You can generate some leads online but they will need to be closed in person or over the phone. I don't think a typical agency
can be successful long term by trying to sell online against companies with billion dollar ad budgets and lead companies spending $10m+ per year on adwords. I think the only people making money that way are the people "consulting" you about Internet marketing. Internet buyers are going to gravitate twords Internet based companies. Just my 02 cents.

And by closed in person or over the phone... I mean you better have a quote to them within 10 minutes live the online companies do. 24/7/365

Has anyone setup a Google Plus profile? If so, do you have any examples for insurance agents?

You make some great posts, I so look forward to seeing more of yours.....

Google+ has only 1 option of making pages, business pages are not an option yet...
