P&C GA in CT?

I'm looking for a P&C general agency in CT that will give an independent broker access to multiple carriers. Any suggestions?

If you have your own agency have you looked into clusters in CT ?

Clusters are probably your best bet but they all kinda suck in their own ways... Personal lines is hardly worth the split in commission unless you are going after the affluent market.

Why would personal lines not be worth the split? There are plenty of ppl that have built a solid personal lines book with a cluster. It's not so much about the commission with those books as it is with the profit sharing. I agree that having direct access is better when you can meet the requirements but clusters are not bad for pl's

I'm sorry I should have been more clear.
Clusters are definitely worth it. but going through an MGA and brokering personal lines, is not really worth it. Having to fill out apps and submit to a broker / mga, wait for a quote etc... that's only worth it on affluent market personal lines.

Clusters are great you can have somewhat direct access and even use your own rater generally. Plus the option of profit share.
