P&C vs life & Health

I noticed that this forum has a lot more talk about health and life insurance. My agency only writes P&C and I was thinking about getting my Life license. What are some tips and suggestions you guys can give to someone entering the life and health side and why did you choose to write life health vs P&C.

Bluh... if you want to sleep well at night, be sure and find a good health insurance company to work for... and even then, don't sell health insurance.

Life? It's good compensation, but don't expect salaried employment or anything stable. If you're going to add life to your list of lines and keep selling P&C, it's a good move. Life pays out very well, it's just a tougher sale to secure when the market is better. Right now, if I didn't already have my Life Line of Authority, I'd get it.

Target the right market and you can potentially live off of one sale per year. Not exactly a standard, but if you write a $650,000 policy and collect $500,000 on it to begin the coverage, you can see how you can be paid handsomely.
