This brings up questions ... Can the commission structure be changed on the agent at any time during the contract period? Do these companies have a contract renegotiation clause, like let's say 5 years or something? These could be disastrous to an agent.

An agency group has to protect the group of agents that are aggregated together. They can't have contract language that puts the group of agents in jeopardy because of one rogue agent.

The correct contract can get you comfortable with your concerns.

An agent with an illness would not have any adverse affect on the rest of
the group.

He/ she would simply not be producing. Doesnt hurt the others at all.

An ill agent, agent moving or spouse transferred, is not a "rogue" agent
at all.
