I am an independent P & C agent with my own office and I am chief cook and bottle washer. I have 25 years of sales experience in medical, life, disability and many areas of P & C. I no longer do personal lines, choosing to concentrate and specialize in hospitality businesses such as restaurants , bar, taverns, even golf clubs and motels.
I have been thinking for some time that it might be a good idea, "cross-selling" wise, to partner up with an independent personal lines agent/broker. I work alone and I would be looking for someone who also works alone but who may have already employed a CSR and who could take care of both sides of the partnered business.
I live in Columbia County, New York, about 125 miles north of NYC.
I would like to hear from anyone who may be interested in what I have discussed and/or anyone who has partnered up in the past and how that has worked out.
