Percentage Vs. Flat Fee Per App

When all is said and done, agents will realize how fortunate they are to get a percentage, rather than a flat fee per app.

The only way most agents will be able to keep their current income is to raise their avg. case size. Few and far between will be able to raise volume, assuming they're running at near capacity now.

I don't know if and when the exchanges are implemented that we won't get a flat fee per app. Percentages could go away in three years don't you think?

I prefer the PEPM method of comp for group over the percentage method. Seems like it does a better job of finding the middle ground between cost and benefits that companies can work with.

You guys are really going to envy me when you read the next sentence.

The CA PCIP pays $50 per enrollment.

Eat your hearts out!

Rick

Yes but has it PAID you the $50 yet?

Reality for a second be it $50 or $100 one time payment can anyone run a business on that commission?

Mine paid 0 before they closed it, and I enrolled about 20 people last year and paid their postage.

Call the plan and ask. It gives you an opportunity to ask other questions as well, such as processing time, are they taking new enrollees, etc.
