I have seen that happen. I have also seen agents sign people up for MA's when they thought they were buying only Part D plans.
But, I do always put both on the table, a supp and a MA plan and explain the difference, go over the costs, and usually run an example year on both.
Sounds like you have the MEGA of the Medicare market there.
