Hi guys,

I am interested in trying to learn about commercial insurance and how it relates to pharmacies (independents and LTC facilities) and other health-related professions like nutritionists, physical therapists and chriopractors, optometrists, and things of that nature. There are a bunch of these fields in my area. I also would like to target a few independent retail stores that are opening up around here as well.

If I could help it though, I would like all of my appointments to be pharmacies. I'm currently learning the in's and out's of the business and whatnots.

What companies do you recommend that would be great for the professional liability part for pharmacies as well as something that covers their computer systems, inventory, and premises?

I know most places cover that but there is a lot of inventory that needs to be covered in a pharmacy. And I don't know the rates of commercial companies well enough and most companies won't touch the professional liability portion for a pharmacist as well. The same would go with nutritionists, chiropractors, and etc.

Also, since I'm still learning the commercial side of this, are there any awesome resources (besides the carriers since I am still trying to get appointed) that I can use to get familiar with all of the different mandatory and optional coverages for commercial P&C?

Thanks for the help, I really appreciate it. I'm starting to get the P&C business going off the ground and it's getting very exciting.

How do you get an appointment with a Pharmacy?:swoon:

These fields are SO COMPLICATED you dont have a chance, you need to start small and work your way up.

Besides you MUST KNOW people to get your foot in the door, do you think you can walk into a multi-billion dollar company and say, can I speak to the CEO about the insurance?

PM sent, I have those logistics down for some of those fields; I'm not planning on being an expert over night but I do have a little more than just starting off.

I'm mainly just trying to get the initial question answered of who would be best for professional liability for these types of professionals (pharmacist in particular) and then what are some good sources for just starting with commercial?

Not waving you off RBA, I just addressed your question in a PM :1smile:
