Is plan J being phased out? I have to admit I'm unfamiliar with it and I had someone that actually had a plan J for the first in like 50 customers today and I had to look it up. I'm about to go replace it with an F (its a 40 dollar a month difference), but not sure how to deal with objections if they bring up the in home recovery and/or the wellness benefits being dropped. Any advice?

If they tried to buy that plan after June 1 they would really be buying a F because they are stopping the sale of J because after they eliminate those two bottom benefits it will look like F. They are eliminating those benefits because medicare has changed since 1990 when standardized plans were designed. Medicare covers more at home recovery and preventative now than then. Those benefits under Plan J, G, D, and E never get claimed on.

Ah, see thats sort of what I thought. I was trying to figure out when the hell the J benefits would actually be paid and couldn't figure out any time it would. I've been doing this like 4 months on med supps it sort of threw me for a loop wanted to make sure I wasn't doing something wrong in this case. I've got it figured out to getting a man/wife plan F done for 228.82 a month total between the 2 of them, which doesn't seem bad to me.

Just like to double check myself to make sure I'm not screwing someone up when I encounter something I've never seen before.

I'm selling the hell out of J right now only because it is the best deal on the street. When I place one I call it J/F and explain them that J is being phased out, but as long as they have their J it will be as issued... now and forever until they cancel it.

I don't believe I have a plan J in my arsenal.....who carries them? I'm pretty much pushing MOO in KS.

United here dosen't carry a J. The only carrier I have with a plan J now is Loyal American/Gafri. It's competitive, but I think its 30 bucks higher than the MOO product. I'm actually using UNL on these 2 but its because they're the cheapest thing I have for diabetes/hbp and they have a 7% discount for couples. I think UoO (funnier looking than MoO) on one of them and UNL on the other would be cheaper for like 2 years then cost more, so I'm just not bothering with the confusion.
