They will probably need to call the Marketplace. If they are actually enrolled in an MP plan, a call center person should be able to open it up for them to select again. If they don't have an actual MP plan, they could possibly have an SEP but it depends on their situation. If they had a plan expire 12/31, you can claim a loss of coverage SEP and see if they require docs.I'm hearing more and more about situations where folks are being enrolled into bogus "ACA" plans by bogus agents/brokers via a company named First Enroll. Has anyone been able to assist clients that have been duped, and successfully enroll them into an ACA plan via a SEP? TIA!
