Note first that this is not just a right-wing proposal. We are talking Kerry/Kennedy/Bean Town libs here.


Keep in mind that Mr. Obama has assured us that we are going to reduce costs in the health care industry by focusing on proven treatments that are based on outcome measures.

I am thinking right now that I could purchase one of my neighbors old double-wides, then put it on the back of my property and turn it into a sweat lodge. (no referral required if you have a PPO plan).

This is really kinda old news. HSA accounts can be used to pay Christian Science Practitioners. Have been able to since the inception of the program.

We just had some people convicted for their child's death since they refused to take her to the doctor and prayed over her instead. If they had an HSA, they at least could get a tax deduction for it.

Mmmm. I dont know. Sounds like new news to me. The whole concept of an HSA is that there is some money that is under the umbrella of the plan but is basically yours if applied to health care of some sort. I think that is not as much a can of worms as saying the public option or private sector "creditable plans" must cover it.

Of course I just read where the government has taken ownership of a bunch of mosques. Those could become treatment centers if the muslims are praying for anyones wellbeing or recovery there. It all fits together. Can't see this being limited to Christians.
