Curious..

What do agents typically get comp on auto business new and renewal ?

From my understanding, they do not write HO3 or they do but go through a different underwriter to do so ? How does this work when you have a customer interested in both auto and home ?

Progressive is the lowest comm at %10 but they have good customer service and response quick to questions. They have good rates on yound drivers and no prior insurance.

Mono line is what they want they only do home and maybe they will give discount with a home partner company they have.

Got it.

is it 10% in all states ?

I still don't understand the home aspect of it. If I get a prospect that wants an auto & home quote and progressive is my only carrier, can I do the quotes?

CA and AZ %10...but I think thats what they pay in all states. Home and Auto no progressive is only an auto policy..what part you do not understand?/:swoon::swoon:

Most likely not, Progressive only gives the home product to agents who write a lot of preferred business with them. And it's 12/10 commission for auto if you average 3 auto per month with them.

Starting out you can use Progressive and Superior Access or Insurance Noodle for preferred business until you get direct appointments.

To start you almost have to use them. Lets see, smart choice takes 30%. out of 15%, Which equals the same 10% for you. So Progressive doesn't seem to bad. I am not sure if the offer home in pa? I know they do in other states.
