I use them for Term and GUL and their Custom Choice UL as a term alternative.

I find them very easy to work with. Small complaint - their pending page is not real time updated but a end of business day.

Competitive quotes especially $million+ face. I believe the Advantage still has a rolling target.

Underwriting has been lienent for me.

The one page app is super easy.

I like them and own a couple of policies with them.

But, they are just a company, there are a lot of good companies out there.

Edit: exams - I tell everyone there may be an exam.

Can't -- and won't -- speak to their IUL. My on-staff product design specialist likes a GUL and UL product of theirs. I can find out which. I've used both products in the recent past and I was happy with underwriting, the responsiveness we got from the home office (because of the size of the case, and the fact we were considering them, the speciality shop we used/GA asked the home office to get involved, and they did).

I believe the GUL product was "approved" by other companies and that they started offering the product as an alternative to their own portfolio. Not sure of the details as it's outside my scope. However, get specimen contracts, run a series of illustrations, look at their history of mortality charges relative to time of issue and what was projected, etc. -- and do your due diligence. Good luck.
