Purpose and Function of a Deductible in an insurance policy ?? ( P&C perspective)

A deductible helps to define the difference between an inconvenience and a disaster.

This. At least from a practical perspective in how it actually impacts the consumer. And that number is different for different people.

Some people simply couldnt afford a $2k deductible on their car insurance..... others can but dont want to pay that much if something happens.... others dont blink an eye at paying $2k out of pocket if an accident happens.

That is the ideal way a deductible is treated from a financial standpoint. However, for those needing to save money, its often used as a cost cutting measure.... which is often not a great thing since those are the ones who cant afford the higher deductible in the first place... but thats the catch-22 world of being poor.

Awesome. So no more jokes about my cape, tiny hand, little feet, or scaring me with stories or images of midgets?

What? How is being factual & stating the obvious even remotely sarcastic or immature? now, if I bring up your big head or your far right or hate filled views or your man love for Trump, that is definitely being sarcastic
