Putting in CA DOI app with address changing shortly

I just passed my L&H test and want to put in the app asap with CA DOI. If I put it under my current agents business address and by the time it approves I'm in another office, will that mess with anything if it is a different agent appointing me in another office by time it approves? It's over the weekend and I want to get in the que asap for approval. Appreciate the responses

I have to admit, its been a while, but what app are you putting in with the CA DOI? If its for your license, put it in under your own address.

If you are submitting an app to a carrier for a life or health policy, make sure you have your license number first, which should show up in a day or 2 on the DOI website. You don't need the paper copy, just the number.

The policy will be through whatever agent is the submitting agent. If you want to switch, I would do that first.

Oh man I'm sorry. I passed my Life & health exam. There is a business, residential and mailing address in the application for licensing. Last time the business address was my current office. I know I need to be appointed and by the time I put in my office address, I may not be in that office, or will be transferring out upon approval.

Again, keep your license yours. If you don't want to list your home address as your business address, then get a post office box (mail boxes etc, whatever) to use. The business address is what you put in there, no need for it to be an agency address.

Its just a spot for everyone who buys the insurance agent list to send you info on continuing ed credits anyway. It needs to be a legit mailing address, since the DOI MIGHT send you something there. Carriers may check it once in a while, but there is NO NEED to list an existing agency address as a business address.

You probably don't want some agent who feels you owe him money getting your license renewal notice.

I should add, your business address is listed on line, which is why you may not want to use your home address, if you are concerned someone may hunt you down.
