Question About Nationwide

Was talking to a lady today that told me in order for her to get her wind pool insurance through Nationwide that she had to get a life policy through them. Does anyone know if this is true? She didn't like the idea of having to buy life insurance from them. Thanks in advance.

I never wrote wind pool when I was with Nationwide, but I'm pretty sure that was done through their brokerage. More than likely that's the agent trying to make it worth their while by at least getting a life sale out of it. Nationwide's brokerage is painfully slow - it could take a week and multiple follow-ups sometimes to get business quoted if you had to get one of their brokerage guys to manually do it.
