Oxendine is running for Governor in 2010. A lot of people say he might win. He has been our Ins Commissioner for a long time. If he wins, who do you think will replace him and will it be good or bad for us?

John Oxedine has been a great Insurance commissioner. I
don't particularly share his political views, but it will be hard to replace him if he is elected Governor of Georgia

Oxendine was a big improvement over Tim Ryles. Overall, I would give him an 8 on a 10 pt scale.

Here are the folks running to replace him so far.

The only one with any name recognition to me is Gerry Purcell. Only reason I know of him is that I know his wife.

I notice Kathy Cox is still running for school superintendent. That should be an interesting race . . .

Back to insurance commissioner, Oxendine likes to portray himself as a consumer advocate, but he (actually, his office) has been slow to approve new product filings and even slower to do something about carriers like Mega and AIM.

I hate change. GA is a non Modal Reg State and I don't want it to become one. Example, having to have a proposal signed. Ect.
