Question Transferring Subsidy Info to Carrier Sites

I had an applicant today that was adamant that they want a Blue Cross plan so I started her app on the BCBS direct connection to healthcare.gov to get eligibility. She qualified and was given a subsidy so we were re-routed to the BCBS site to select a plan. After going thru the plans she didn't like any of them due to her budget and Rx costs.

Now she wants to look at other carrier health plans. Is there a way I can get her subsidy information to connect/transfer to health Sherpa or another carriers direct enrollment site?

Go to the other carrier site, connect back to the Marketplace, and look up her application, all you need is her name and date of birth-it will connect the subsidy to the new plan and you will be able to enroll her with the other plan.

Agree that should decide on plan but initially client really wanted blue cross. Didn't want to look at other carriers.

You're quite right YGM... It's impossible to complete an application without first choosing a plan.

That's not 100% true-Assurant has you go to the Marketplace first to get the subsidy and then has you pick the plan.

So does Humana.

UHC and Aetna/Coventry have you pick the plan first.

I can't speak for any other carriers but, based on this, it's a mixed bag.

FLM2 does this also work with Health Sherpa? Connect to MP thru HS then look up her eligibility application with name/dob -- connect subsidy info to new plan?
