Quickbook Checks - Silly Question

here's a silly question, do i get the 3 per page checks or the 1 with receipt one?

i dont want any paper mess or trails, just want to be able to print them and send them off.

For the 3 per page, do i have to use 3 at a time or i can tear them off then use it a 2nd time then tear it off and use a 3rd time?
