Quoting Sites

Hi Indy. My head says the Colts but I'll be rooting for the Saints. A lot of Miami guys coaching there (5) including the head coach!

Since you're in Kansas...and the Chiefs are of course out of it...Who are you rooting for?

I'm with you, the Colts are obviously a favorite due to Peyton alone, but it would be fun to see the Saints win. Plus the afterparty in Nawlins would be a lot more exciting to watch than the one in Indy.

By the way, here in Chiefs land we're pretty used to finding somebody else to root for by the second week of the playoffs.

Second week of the playoffs? I usually lose interest about the second week of pre-season.:twitchy:

Go Saints!! I am in the process of using Quot It, I have already signed up for the site but they do not allow for advanced hosting, most of their pages are static so for advanced hosting they upcharge you. FYI :-/

Insurint will allow you to add the rider prices and also check carrier underwriting inside the tool, and does have a consumer gateway and screen share now, the consumer gateway is an extra 20 bucks a month though.

Consumer gateway allows consumers visiting your site to run their own rates. When someone visits my site, runs rates, I get an instant email including the data they entered to get the quote (name, DOB, gender, zip, phone).

If you don't have a consumer gateway you are wasting your money. They wont take the time to fill out a request form and wait on you to call them back.

Maybe I'm thick, but how does a "quoting site" differ? I have both a site of my own with a link to my Norvax template site (that I call my "quoting site"... because the Norvax quote engine runs from there). When someone enters MY MAIN site and requests a quote, they are re-directed to my "quoting site". When they enter data to run a private quote I get an immediate email. The same thing happens if they enter directly to the quoting site (my Norvax template site). So what are considering my quoting site? A consumer gateway? Or are you talking about the internal link to the quoting site?

Insurint does not allow consumers to generate their own quotes . . . unless you pay extra for that feature.

When I reviewed Insurint a year ago that was not an option. The only way to generate a quote was on the "agent" side, in the back office.

Some agents don't believe in giving that much "power" to visitors to their site. They want to control everything to the point of, if you want a quote you have to contact the agent.

I suppose that works for some, and anyone that goes to your site and fills out a request form is probably a better prospect than one who simply generate's their one quote.

I might get two dozen calls or emails during the year from folks looking for insurance, but I get 100+ per month running quotes and some of those end up becoming clients.

You decide which is better.
