Please share ideas how to recruit agents in the fe market.

I want to have a local shop in NYC where agents will get subsidized leads, mentoring, training, hand holding.....

Start them lower contract, then raise contract with production.

Which career websites would you recommend to post job?

Do I need a website to start?

Marketers, please respond, I'm not your competition, since I'm going for the local presence in NYC.

Just to share, one of the forum agency, pm me to offer advice privately, I called him, he gave me the full run down how he runs his agency, it was a huge help for me.

I'm just amazed there are still good people willing to give back, share their time and experience with no ulterior motives of getting something in return.

Thank you...

If you are going to take them from licensing to being successful, then craigslist may not be a bad way for you to go...and it's free! You'll have a hard time finding a decent agent (even somewhat seasoned) on CL. You may find some that just got their license or are "thinking" about getting into insurance that way.

You can also advertise locally in the newspaper.

One thing you may have to weed through with either is someone looking for a "job".

I believe it costs $25-$35 to list a job posting in most major cities, on Craigslist.

I would just buy the leads and run them yourself... Less work and more money.

Wow, I didn't know that. I really thought CL was free. I've never used it for recruiting and wouldn't because we're nationwide. Thanks for the info.
