What effect, if any, will health Insurance reform have on the sale of supplemental health such as Critical Illness, Cancer, Accident, etc.?

As stated - none. The only product that will be eventually affected are mini-meds, which got a stay of execution until 2013. If you call it "health insurance" then it'll need to meet certain minimum criteria. Remember all of the mini-med waivers? Those expire next year.

Thanks Johnny and HealthGuy.. Guess I don't have to change anthing I am doing except maybe get out and go to work. Here lately I feel I am related to Maynad G. Krebbs.

The product availability won't change due to health reform, but it's necessity will be questioned. When everything under the sun is going to be covered on a Obama health plan, with unlimited lifetime limits, and mandated low deductibles.........who will need a supplement policy?

Gone are the days of the $10k deductible + 10k acc + 10k CI.
You're looking at 2500 across the board instead.
