Release Letter Question

I had been with an FMO that stated they do not hold you to a contract, and I NEVER signed anything with them, and things just didnt work out with them. After letting them know I want to move on, the President stated he would have a release letter for me by today. I called him and he stated he will have it to me and so far, still have not received it. What can I do or better yet, what can they do, if I have not signed anything with them at all? Thanks

Give him a day or two and then call again. If he told you that you will receive it do you have reason to doubt what he says?

I bet he hated to see you go. I have the feeling you was not writing the guy a ton of business.
