I have a guy from my church that texted me today, says he already picked out a Medicare plan, did all the research but wants to "throw me the business". Does not want me to do any research/verify any information.

I hate transaction only business like this.

situations like this are wierd. if i say no, it almost feels insulting to him.

does anybody have any kind of form they use in instances like this that they have the customer sign acknowledging that they (the customer) did the research, and is only using you (the broker/agent) to complete the transaction, and is not using you (the broker/agent) as an advisor?

Nothing he signs will keep you from feeling this is weird, to me it's not. Get his email, tell him you need his dr's and drugs through the email, write the business and move on.

You can always write a disclaimer letter with the delivery of the policy.

Won't mean much but it might make you feel better.
yeah, I was hoping for something that could sort of shield myself a bit, but i guess thats what E&O is for. I called him today, but he didn't answer.
I guess when it comes to it, i'll just have to pump the brakes, and make him go through the proper process like everyone else.
