Hi Fam, I had my home broke into that I rent about a month ago. I put in a claim to them the day it happen. They paid me for my claim in a check card. Have this happen to anyone else?????

Same thing happened to me but Insurance company simply wrote me a check.
Which company U are with?

I havent seen check cards yet. Thats different. I didnt know that anything other than checks where issued to clients.

Same thing happened with one of my customer, From which company you have got the insurance?

My captive company is starting to do this with all home claims. These checks can be large and take time to clear (bank may put a hold on funds) when the polciy holder needs the $$ to buy immediate need items. The debit card idea allows someone to pay for immediate need items anywhere that takes visa.
