Renter's Insurance and Theft from Car.

In PA if something is stolen from your car, is that covered under renters insurance?

Usually yes, though they insurance company might require proof and investigate what happened. Proof is there if you had something random or expensive like some laptops or jewelry. Investigation might be there if you left the car unlocked, etc.

I say "usually" to being covered because it depends on what is stolen. If the item is permanently fixed or installed to the car (like a radio) then your auto policy should cover it rather than a renters policy. You start to get into a grey area if there is an expensive after-market addition put in there and you didn't specify it on the policy.

When in doubt, call your insurance company and see what they say.

Is there a limit? I keep my golf clubs in my car and they are $1,500.00 between my driver, irons, and putter.

Many items have sublimits and the policy has an overall limit, but $1500 golf clubs should be covered.

Also, you want to check your renters policy to see if the coverage is ACV or replacement cost. ACV is actual cash value, or the depreciated price. Replacement cost coverage (which is more expensive but well worth it) provides coverage to replace it new, with some exceptions, with similar functional quality.

The cost difference, especially on a renters policy, is negligible at best.
