Just making a note to check your book.

I'm going thru a carrier - and I'm finding more SARs than expected by cross referencing the current plan to the first looks.

Pre-AEP we can call those people and get them on our calendar. Obviously we can't say, "hey, we need to review because your plan is ending" but we can say something like "based on a few factors we need to get you on the schedule, it doesn't look like a plan review is optional."

Getting the SARs scheduled NOW proactively will free up (some) time.

I'm so glad that my CRM is very organized - I have fields for CMS Plan Name, the H000 code (Contract ID), plan Code, segment code, etc.

Aetna has already sent letters to people that are being termed, I had 2 of my 4 call me

I have Aetna clients in 7 states so it's a bit tedious to go thru these but I'd hate to lose them when it shouldn't be too hard to change them to a different plan or carrier.

I do think retention will be key this year.
Wait till Humana’s sars come out next week . I’ve already pre tracked some of mine when ordering supplies . You can see which county’s plans are in .This is disgraceful from Humana not coming out weeks ago and alerting agents exactly which county’s plans are being axed . There’s only 6 weeks till aep starts . I guess 4 months ago when i called utter chaos for this aep i was correct . Anyone with a big book will be lucky to come out of aep with the same size book they have going in . Most of aep will be sent with clients if you have any size book

Wow i was eyeing Aetna even more . In my area’s hospital copays have gone to $380 a day for 7 days . Specialist copays from $30 to $45 . And the worst thing is 22-25% coinsurance on tiers 3-5. They sucked every agent in America in in 2024 to sell their plans and pulled the rug massive

Humana or 1000 other call centers it really doesn’t matter . Call centers going wild in Aug .I expect call center vol nationwide up 5 fold over last yr .
