I thought only less than 600,000 have died so far in the US from COVID? Why so many calls.
Imagine all the fraud involved.

Was originally $7,000.
are you saying CNN is lying in their headline where they say there has been 1M calls....................................but my guess is like many government run programs right now (DMV, Unemployment, etc) 60,000 people each have tried to call over & over & over again each about 15 times. So much fraud in PPP last year, unemployment, stimulus checks, I am certain there will be fraud with this program also, even to the point of some sketchy funeral homes helping supply receipts showing a much costlier service to collect a higher amount than actual receipts of cremation cost. Sorry, a little cynical this morning............lol60k is only 10% of reported covid deaths.
9k must be to cover the inflation from the last 6 months or so............have you seen the price of lumber, copper, etc... wowza
no, I believe if you had a pre paid funeral plan, medicare trust, funeral trust, etc you are not eligible as those dont count as valid receipts paid out of pocket. Guessing the difference is FE or life plans paid directly to a person can still claim the money as they paid the funeral, but any situations where the funeral home was paid directly from a funeral plan, it will be ineligible. My understanding is that up to $9k will be reimbursed to someone who lost a family member if they provide receipts. This payment does not coordinate with life insurance policies that may have paid out, but does coordinate with public assistance programs that may have been used already. Does this mean even if someone had a final expense policy/prepaid funeral/etc can still make a claim for the "free" money?
Its been a slow year for both Malaria and alien DNA.hydroxychloroquine
Are they sure those aren't FCGS reps?FEMA warns of scammers offering COVID-19 funeral assistance
FEMA is alerting the public that some scammers are reaching out to people and offering to register them for funeral assistance. FEMA has not sent any such notifications, and the agency does not contact people before they register for assistance.
