Selling FE Over the Phone?

I am interested to know what kind of success seasoned agents, or any agents for that matter has had selling over the phone. I am new to the scene and got aligned with a local IMO, but the prospect of phone sales keeps coming up.

My questions are simple, what kind of success rate is there in his method, who is a good provider to use, working a full day how many deals can one expect to close?

I appreciate your help, I am a new agent and have already found this forum to be filled with a lot of helpful resources.
 
Thanks for the help Jim. I am new to the insurance world, but my professional background includes a lot of phone time, but more B2B sales then B2C. I will keep Loyal in mind as I look for providers, I figure it is worth a shot.
 
Retention seems to be a little less w/ over the phone. You need to spend some time w/ the client after the sell. Write a letter thanking them and a few phone calls to check in and see if they have any questions with their policy.
