Has anyone tried to sale FE through the mail and over the phone?
What about companies that will accept business done this way?
American Memorial will do so, or that is what I was told by BGA for them.
Any experience with this company, or trying to sale via this method.
I get items in the mail regular from AARP, Credit Union selling product this way. Why can't we do that?
Thanks for your input

The majority of my sales are now by Email, Mail and phone. But I think that you may not be asking the other half of the question. Prospecting. The sales part is the easy part.

BTW, FE is only a small part of what I sell. That seems like it would be harder to prospect good business to (edit: by phone). Unless it is an existing client, referral. or part of another sale.

Just my two cents.

We sell primarily over the phone. We prefer using the Baltimore Life INSPeed system because you dont have to struggle to get the app back in the mail. Even the signature is done over the phone.

Generating leads to talk to is another topic.

I wouldn't be surprised is there is more final expense sold over the phone and by mail than there is over the kitchen table. I just don't think individual agents have the marketing pocket book to support the prospecting.

How long does the phone interview take? Do they spend a lot of time reading all that legal stuff? I did one over the phone with another company and it took over 25 min just to read the legal stuff....From what I hear Baltimore life is a lot better to use for over the phone...

Our average on the 3-way portion of the call is 16 minutes total. It can go faster if the agent follows the script and properly prepares the prospect for the call.

Do you need to get special authorization from Baltimore Life to sell over the phone? I have received conflicting information from the home office regarding this issue. Two calls have resulted in two different answers. One said I could sell over the phone and the other said the system was for phone centers only. Can you give me some insight on it?

Globe, and AARP can afford to do this because they are generating business, not commissions. Kitchen table is still the best way to sell FE.

watch out for a company called finalexpensetelesales.com!!! they boast training and good leads--all turns out that it's a total scam, in my opinion. costs close to 2,000k to get started--their "training" turns out to be a series of webinars emailed with so many attached documents that you get lost searching thru all of them. The "leads" they sold me were a joke--people had no idea what i was talking about--said they didn't ask for info--ended up a total waste of money. don't be taken in like i was.
