Senate health care debate now on hold as Sen. Tom Coburn (R-OK) forces clerk to read 767 page amendment

It just took 1 minute and 9 seconds for the clerk to read one page - you multiply that by 767 pages

At 12:51pm EST, Senate clerk now on page 35 of the 767 page amendment; Dems still don't have 60 votes

Senate clerk hits page 75 at 1:30pm EST - only 711 left; Sen. Ben Nelson (D-NE) still undecided on health bill

MoveOn.org says it has raised over $650,000 already to fund ad campaign against Sen. Joe Lieberman (I-CT)

Update, 2:55PM

The reading is over on the Senate floor, as Sen. Bernie Sanders has withdrawn his 767 page amendment

Regardless of what any one's views are, I spent twelve years working in that area and I love the political process.

I didn't post that to start a political debate. I have heard all the arguments many times over.

We have the greatest system in the world.

Frank I tend to agree. Although it's a cluster our process ensures that legislation doesn't just get rammed through.

I actually heard many times that "health care" was indeed going to get rammed through. Guess not.

Pelosi, Obama, and Reid want to RAM this s#t down our throats. Open wide American maggots, its time for healthcare Halford style:
