Senior Market in Michigan

Thinking about getting back into the insurance field, only this time will target senior citizen with medicare supplement and final expense and would like to know how the senior market is over here. I just moved here for about 2 years, so dont know that much.

I can't imagine it is any different there than everywhere else. In Missouri it has been great for the last 16 years.

Seniors, there everywhere, there everywhere! There is an endless stream of new ones every month.

Not to mention the fact that the largest population segment in the country began turning 65 this year....Business will be good for a very long time!

It is pretty good here in Michigan for the FE market. Most of my agency sales are FE. I assume that FE market is hot everywhere.

Sell Medicare Supplements to sell Final Expense. Sell Final Expense to sell Medicare Supplement. Symbiotic products that directly correlate to our market. The senior market is booming and will continue to increase in the next three to five years.

I have a few agents in Michigan. Most do fairly well. I find that for some reason, around the Detroit area, it's a little rough and pockets are tight there. It probably has something to do with the auto industry.
