I have no numbers to back this up, but I'm sure they gained PDP members this year. However, the negative pendulum swing of what they did will occur over time. Among agents, Wellcare is dead to them. I moved many people off of their MAPD's, and I will never write them again.
Wellcare made a stupid short-sighted decision, but the consequences of such won't be felt for a few years, as they see their numbers start to dwindle in other areas. Biden also gave them big subsidies for the Part D. Trump is not gonna do that.
When those run out, they're gonna have a problem. Part D won't be profitable, and they are now in every agents forbidden "black book" and they won't write any line of business for them.
Like every piece of terrible policy the Democrats do.....they do it, it feels good for the people for a while, the Democrats hide the terrible policy with HUGE taxpayer-provided subsidies, and then go....
"Look! See how great this is!" They then take credit for it, all the while knowing it's an atomic bomb that's gonna blow way down the line when they are out of office.
