Seniors and Their Insurance Expectations

Not sure if I'm in right part of forum but I have noticed this happen several times:

  • book an appointment with someone over 65
  • get there and show them the lead card they filled out
  • they list 5+ medications, hospitalizations, terminal illnesses
  • had several quotes
  • expect entire 300K+ coverage
  • have an all or nothing thinking - want entire coverage or nothing at all
  • expecting to pay $20/month

WTF?!?

There are 3 kinds of insurance prospects - and most agents only know of the first two:
1) Healthy people who don't feel they 'need' life insurance, but they want to pay as little as possible to satisfy the "need".

2) Unhealthy people who want some kind of offer because they know they can't otherwise qualify for it.

3) Healthy people who see the value of large life insurance premium policies for their strategic living benefits.

You're stuck with #2 with leads like what you're posting... and life insurance companies aren't charitable organizations.
